How To Volunteer

Help will always be welcome. Please come to the Museum any Tuesday and Thursday morning between 09:30. and 12:00 noon to find out about the work that is going on.
You may also contact the Museum on 01323 898222 (24 hr Answerphone) or E-mail
Volunteers can select from the following list the task or tasks they would like to undertake:
  • acting as Stewards, when the Museum is open to the public. Stewards work a 'rota duty' of 2-3 hours once every few weeks or whenever possible. Their duties include welcoming visitors and watching over the displays and artefacts in the Museum.
  • joining one of the working parties which attend the Museum on Tuesday and Thursday mornings between 09:30 and 12:00. The working parties are busy with all the behind the scenes work, which ranges from cleaning and maintenance to cataloguing, using computers, research and fund-raising. In addition to the collections on display, the Museum has a large collection of photographs and other archive material relating to the history of Seaford.
